You can make the initial enquiry, stay in the loop by phone once your parent’s consented, and I’ll handle everything that needs to happen in person: liaising with the local GP practice, the actual home visit, and getting the report back to their doctor. You arrange it remotely; I handle the local part.

If your parent is nervous about a stranger going through their medicine cabinet, it helps that the visit happens at their own pace, in their own home, with no clinic waiting room involved — and you’re welcome to join by phone during the visit itself, if your parent would find that reassuring.

The visit itself usually takes 45 to 60 minutes. I go through everything your parent is taking — regular prescriptions, anything from the pharmacy shelf, vitamins, and anything a specialist has added over the years — and talk through how each one is actually being taken, rather than what a decades-old label technically says. For a long list built up gradually, that unhurried, whole-picture look is often exactly what’s been missing.

How it works, from your side

1. Get in touch. Call, email or use the online form — from wherever you are, even interstate.
2. GP referral arranged. With your parent’s consent, I contact their Greenvale GP practice directly. It’s a standard, government-funded referral GPs know well.
3. Home visit and report. I visit your parent at home in Greenvale, then send a clear, prioritised report to their GP, who follows up on any changes.

Visits run in English, Urdu or Hindi, whichever your parent is most comfortable in.

Greenvale sits about ten minutes from my base in Craigieburn, which keeps scheduling straightforward — the distance that matters here is between you and your parent, not between me and either of you.

Organising things remotely doesn’t mean being left out of them. With your parent’s agreement, I’m happy to call you afterwards and talk through what came up, in plain language, before their GP follows up with them directly. You stay genuinely involved in the process, even if you’re the one who can’t be there in person on the day.
